about

"Lockdown" was originally written in early 2011 and the song's punchy, guitar-driven pop-rock style was largely influenced by the Foo Fighters album "Wasting Light." "Bombshell" grew out of a simple acoustic guitar riff I wrote years ago and expanded into a large-scale arrangement. The title of "Helsinki Syndrome" was taken from a scene in "Die Hard" where a psychologist describes the hostage situation inside of the Nakatomi Tower. The song itself originally came about after buying my first bass guitar and satisfying my natural urge to write something funky. "There's Always Something Better" is a big finale that features multiple sections, buildups, and musical styles.
